Second well for children

We are happy to mention that the first well at NPH is working efficiently. However, since more buildings are being constructed and more children will be arriving in the future we would like to provide and guarantee clean and drinkable water for them. In the past the children have experienced being out of water for a week due to several problems with the electricity on the Island or maintenance. Fortunately we had the lake just a few meters from the home to solve at least the basic daily needs. Now, the situation has changed because the lake is miles away from our new home. For this reason we would like to build a second well and provide the vital liquid for the children in school, kitchen, dorms and other areas in case the main well is in bad condition or needs to be turned off for electrical or mechanical maintenance.

For an extension of 128 acres of land and a population of 500 children, in the future a second well is needed. The process will include digging a hole that is five hundred feet deep and eight feet wide, a three phase electric power system with 230 volts of electricity and a sanitary seal to avoid filtration from superficial water that may contaminate the aquifer and the filter will be made with a concrete base to support the pump water equipment. Other technical instructions will follow to keep the well set and in perfect condition to work. The water has been tested for contaminants and the result was clean to drink.

All of our children who live now on the property along with new brothers and sisters who join our family in the future will benefit from this project. As well as our personnel, volunteers and visitors who are always welcome to come and spend time with our children.
