Cafeteria Tables for the Children

Our kitchen staff prepares 1000 meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Usually, the children bring the food to their respective houses to eat except once a day. As part of the “family” philosophy of our beloved Father Wasson, we must have at least one meal together. This meal serves as a perfect time for everyone to come together in our big dining room called “el ranchon.” However, there is no formal place to eat our meals. We would like to provide some tables so, the children can seat comfortably instead of having lunch while in their chairs juggling sometimes hot soup or beverages hoping not to get burned and drop food on the floor.

Our hope is to buy some tables so the family could not only come together, but also have a place to sit and enjoy their meal. In addition, the tables could also be used for general activities such as graduations, school events, quinceañera celebrations, Christmas, seminaries and many other activities. Lastly, it will also be beneficial financially. Although the upfront costs are great, it will also cut our annual expenses as we will no longer have to rent tables for the aforementioned events.

All of our children will be benefit from this project as well as teachers, care takers and visitors who are always welcome to came and spend time with the children.
